Research Digest, April 2018, Federal Government Publications
CTR Library’s April 2018 issue of the Research Digest is now available for download. This is our first issue to include U.S. Government publications that were recently selected for our collection.
This month’s digest provides abstracts for 17 publications recently made available online from the Eastern Transportation Knowledge Network, Federal Railroad Administration, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center for the FHWA’s Office of Planning, Environment, & Realty (HEP). Abstracts and full-text links are provided for each report or product.
We have included 4 LibGuides produced and provided through the FHWA Pooled Fund Study TPF 5(237): Library Connectivity and Development, the Eastern Transportation Knowledge Network (ETKN), and the Western Transportation Knowledge Network (WTKN). These LibGuides provide valuable guidance and resources on research in connected vehicle technologies, disaster preparedness, transportation sustainability, and more transportation topics.
Other publications of particular interest are the Summary Report for the Texas Resilience and Planning Workshop (held June 2017 in Austin), Impacts of Congestion Pricing on Low-Income Populations (including a case study from the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority), and Viability of Vehicle Length in Estimating Vehicle Classification and Axle Factors (Transportation Pooled Fund Study TPF-5(340), a research partnership including TxDOT).
