The 2018 D-STOP Symposium: “New Developments in SAVES”

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

Overview

SAVES (Situation-Aware Vehicular Engineering Systems) is a research center within UT’s Wireless Networking and Communications Group (WNCG) that addresses the challenges of wireless, networking, and sensing in vehicular systems. SAVES was created in partnership with CTR and is a direct result of the collaborations and initiatives created within D-STOP. Thus, this year’s D-STOP symposium provided a platform for highlighting and exploring SAVES projects. The hope is that, together, we can use the symposium not only to disseminate and learn from cutting edge research of relevance, but also as a vehicle to work toward ways to reduce the incubation time from research to implementation. The day’s events also provided a means to present the work to the D-STOP Business Advisory Council, whose members were invited to attend.
