This month's digest provides abstracts for 15 reports from the research program sponsored by TxDOT's Research and Technology Implementation Division (RTI).

The February 2026 issue of the Research Digest is now available for download from the CTR Library's website.

This month's digest provides abstracts for 15 video summary reports from the research program sponsored by TxDOT's Research and Technology Implementation Division (RTI).

The research projects represented here cover a wide range of topics. This issue includes video summaries on workforce development for road and bridge agencies, examining reconnaissance scanning of underground utilities in the ROW, developing crash modification factors for super 2 highways, and exploring and developing innovative methods for estimating VMT on local roads in Texas. Links to online videos for each summary report are provided in the digest.

Research Digest, January 2026: State DOTs

The January 2026 issue of the Research Digest is now available for download from the CTR Library. This digest provides abstracts for 16 recently cataloged publications from other states' department of transportation research programs.

The research projects represented here are from various states including Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington State, and Wisconsin. The reports cover a wide range of topics such as countermeasures for high-risk locations for wildlife related crashes, unmanned aerial systems for determining vegetative establishment on construction sites, roundabout construction using precast concrete, and pedestrian safety and traffic operations near transit stops.
