To recognize and honor the student’s supported by the UTC Program, RITA sponsors an annual awards banquet in collaboration with the Council of University Transportation Centers in January in Washington, DC. Each center, including D-STOP, shall choose one outstanding student of the year.
The D-STOP Student of the Year shall be awarded $1,000 and reimbursement of the costs to attend the award ceremony and the TRB Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. This honor was first awarded for 2014.
