Dr. Richard Tucker receives ECC Achievement Award

Congratulations to Professor Emeritus Richard Tucker for receiving the Engineering & Construction Contracting Association (ECC) Achievement Award, the group’s highest honor. The award was presented to Richard on September 4, 2014, during the ECC’s 46th Annual Conference. The ECC consists of owners, contractors, suppliers, and academics who are interested in using the latest ideas to improve the performance of the industry and their organizations. Since 1988, the ECC has been honoring outstanding industry leaders with the annual ECC Achievement Award (formerly the ECC Division Award). The Achievement Award recipients are chosen based on five criteria, which require that a recipient be one who (1) exhibits integrity; (2) is a bold risk taker; (3) is truly visionary; (4) has had a lasting positive impact on the competitive face of business; and (5) possesses stature among their industry peers. Notes CAEE Department Chair Rich Corsi, “I cannot imagine these criteria being more well suited to anyone but Richard.”
