Spring 2015 Alumni Luncheon Presentations Now Online

The Cockrell School hosts many events throughout the year that provide opportunities for interaction among alumni, faculty, and students. The Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department has a great resource online now: presentations by the four Spring 2015 Alumni Luncheon Speakers. These include Randy Machemehl speaking about the future of traffic flows in Austin, Des Lawler  about the future of water flows in Texas, Ozzie Bayrak on the future of structural engineering, and Ellen Rathje on induced seismicity.   On this page you can also find links to previous alumni seminars by Maria Juenger on sustainable concrete (2013), and by Lance Manuel on loads on wind turbines under extreme conditions (2014).

Many alumni at individual events expressed a strong interest in viewing presentations in other cities.  By videotaping all four presentations, CAEE offers alumni greater insights into what their past professors are doing now, and the range of important activities going on in CTR’s parent department.
